RSCTC 2010 Accommodation Information

Due to moderate scale of the conference and specific pre-reservation conditions in Warsaw hotels the organisers of RSCTC do not offer a dedicated accommodation booking option. Instead, we provide participants with information, guidance, and help in finding right place to stay. This page is intended as reference when looking for accommodation in Warsaw. If you don't have previous experience, we recommend to start with "General advisory" below.

For general information about Poland and Warsaw we refer you to our Local Guide Page.

General advisory

  • Book on-line and early.  It is advisable to book your accommodation using either an on-line booking service or Web site of the chosen hotel. It is highly advisable to book well in advance, as the hotels in central Warsaw are usually quite occupied. You may want to check out the on-line booking with rebate offered by HotelsCombined.com
  • Consider paying in advance. Several hotels and booking services offer hefty discounts (up to 30%) for reservations that are pre-paid in full at least two weeks prior to arrival.
  • Shop for bargains, but read the fine print. Various hotels in Warsaw as well as on-line booking services offer special, promotional prices. Sometimes such offers are really  attractive. The only thing you should be aware of in such cases is that there are usually some strings attached. Typically, the hotel expects you to stay at least three nights or over entire weekend. Another typical scenario involves pre-paiment for entire duration of the stay. Also, it is always recommended to check if special rate offer includes breakfast, WiFi access, etc.
  • Breakfast options. Most bookings in regular hotels include breakfast. However, if you book your room as a part of promotion or package, you better check if it includes breakfast. In most hotels you can add  breakfast if it is not already included. In general, if the price for breakfast is above 40 zł (about 10 Euro), you should expect a morning feast. The option of having breakfast outside your hotel for less money is viable one as long as you are prepared to spend a little more time in the morning looking for a good cafe in the neigbourhood.
  • Price range. In general, it is quite hard, if at all possible, to find an accommodation in Warsaw in a single room with private bathroom and breakfast included for less than 150-160 zł (about 40 Euro) per night. For luxury (five star) hotel anything below 100 Euro per person/night is interesting. A decent three star hotel will charge above 60 Euro per night in a single room. These are regular prices, and with some luck you may find much better offers on-line. If you want cheaper accommodation you will have to sacrifice some convenience. Cheaper hotels may not offer private bathroom or breakfast.
  • What to expect? All accommodations refered on our pages have been proven  trustworthy in the past. You may expect cleanliness, decent service, and reasonable value for money.
  • Traveling in a group. Visitors traveling as a party (or couple) have additional choices  while booking accommodation. In general, it is usually cheaper to book rooms for several persons together.
  • Short time apartment rental. This is quite attractive option for small groups. The rented apartments usually feature maid service and in some cases there is breakfast option.
